Whitney Taylor

Whitney Taylor is grateful to be able to continue to help give back to his community through this wonderful dancing experience.  Although a little intimidated when asked to participate, it was a definite “Yes” when told it was to help raise money for our Tri-Cities youth. Whitney was born and raised in Kingsport and has always found ways to support and help members of the community that he loves.  Whitney was lucky enough to marry his lifelong best friend, Allona Kilgore Taylor, and they have two beautiful children, Marcus, 18 and London, 14.

Whitney graduated from Mars Hill University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity.

Upon graduation from Mars Hill, he attended law school at Mississippi College School of Law and graduated early with honors. Whitney is the sole attorney and owner of the Taylor Law Office. As an attorney, Whitney is a member of the Kingsport Bar Association, Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Individuals with legal needs often come to Whitney’s office for support and guidance.  Unlike traditional volunteering, Whitney takes time to speak with people in need, at no cost to them.  Many know this work as Pro Bono (“For the Public Good”) and Whitney knows this service is an honor and privilege of the legal profession.

Whitney also understands the great influence local businesses can have on the future of our children. Whitney takes pride in supporting our local schools with donations to programs that benefit families in need. He is a passionate community servant who is committed to life-long service based on personal and professional experiences.

Outside of work Whitney’s interests include watching his children in sports, playing golf with Allona and friends, and just being outdoors.

Whitney’s advice is simple: Always be kind to others and take the time to compliment someone daily!
