Jennifer Helton began her career as a Realtor in January of 2007 and later worked 11 years in the mortgage industry. She has since retired her broker’s license and along with her husband Travis, they have made real estate investments a full-time endeavor. Together they renovate flip properties and specialize in short term rentals. Jennifer said “It’s wonderful working with your best friend! My husband is amazing at seeing a new floorplan, where I may not grasp his vision right away, and I focus on the design concept, budget, etc.; we make a great team.”
Jennifer grew up in Blountville, and now resides in Kingsport. She has a son at ETSU, two stepchildren, and 1 grandson, with another on the way. She is the youngest of five siblings and grew up learning the value of hard work and determination from her parents. “I remember having to wake up early on the weekends to work in the garden, tend to house cleaning, mow the yard, or really just whatever needed to be done. It really taught me the value of teamwork and it truly does take a village in a family of seven!” Jennifer said.
Jennifer loves meeting people, undertaking a new challenge, and finds joy in doing for others. “While dancing is not my greatest attribute, I love learning different things and helping a local charity like Jeremiah School is such a worthwhile cause; I knew I wanted to be a part of that and I’m grateful for the opportunity” she said.
