Whitney Carr

Whitney is the host of VIPSeen Live with Whitney and Morgan, an entertainment talk show that showcases area businesses, events and what’s happening in the region. Watch their segments on social media outlets: Facebook, Instagram YouTube & Twitter.

A former morning talk show host of Good Day Tri-Cities, Whitney has always had the ‘gift of gab’.  Her fun-loving personality and ability to connect with an audience has helped her host and emcee many events in our region over the last 15 years.

A long-time community volunteer all around the Tri-Cities, Whitney and her husband of 25 years, Junior, are the proud parents of: Jurnee, Daxx, Jaecee Rae, and 2 spoiled rescue chihuahuas named Caddie & Pezz. She has long advocated adopting from a shelter and the importance of spay/neuter to control the pet population. This is why she chose to fundraise for her favorite charity, Jurnee’s Journey Foundation 501(c)3, founded by her daughter, Jurnee Carr.

Throughout the year you will find her leading supply drives for pet food, clothing for the homeless, items for the elderly, shoes to ship internationally and anywhere there may be a need.

In 2018, Whitney earned the Tennessee Governor’s Volunteer Star Award for her volunteer work in our region over the years. She is a graduate of Leadership Kingsport, Leadership Hawkins County and has served with many organizations such as: Susan G. Komen, American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation and numerous Humane Societies. She was a 2018 Susan G. Komen East Tennessee Tri-Cities Big Wig.

When she’s not emceeing an event or volunteering, she enjoys watching her son play in golf tournaments, cheering her youngest daughter on in cheerleading competitions, traveling, and is a proud pageant Mom and a pageant director. She strongly believes that pageantry is a positive life experience for young women where they can gain valuable skills “that just can’t be taught in a classroom” as well as earn scholarships for college.

Whitney’s motto: “Live For More Than You Every Single Day.”
